coates claim to fame

As mentioned our family has always had a musical background. One of our most famous family members was the English composer Sir Eric Coates, who composed many famous songs including the theme for the dambusters film in the 50s.

	Another famous singer would be Catherine Coates who has had a number of records and regularly appears on television.

As also mentioned our family has also been associated with engineering and innovation. Below are two photographs of the Coates Rotary Valve(CRV) engine invented by our family. The engine cuts down on fuel consumption, lowers emissions and decreases the requirement for engine oil and is therefore much more enviroment friendly.
